Greg Winnett
With nearly 30 years’ experience working with Corporate and Private Clients particularly in the area of audit and assurance, Greg has a wealth of knowledge across many industries. This commercial background is complemented with skills gained from supporting a family business and a number of not-for-profit organisations. Greg understands the pressures and drivers behind a successful business, and is acutely aware of the increasing amount of regulation and compliance faced by business on an almost daily basis.
Greg joined Accru Melbourne in 1986 as an undergraduate, he became a director in 1998 and is currently the Chairman and Managing Director. With broad practical experience he has a sound understanding of business and financial management, as well as strong technical skills specialising in audit and assurance.
Clients include public and private companies based in Australia and overseas, large proprietary companies, incorporated associations, trusts and other reporting entities. Greg has specialist knowledge of the not-for-profit sector, having worked with a substantial number of Government and stakeholder funded organisations particularly in health and welfare, aged care, education, community housing and sport.
Professional involvement with a diverse client base has enabled Greg to develop a comprehensive understanding of business systems, information technology, corporate governance and financial management.
Greg’s other responsibilities include maintaining a high level of quality control over assurance engagements, driving strategy within the audit division and ensuring the latest technology and innovative practices are being effectively utilised within our business.
